Giovanni – Eco Chic Hair Care: Smooth As Silk Deep Moisture Shampoo with Eco Chic Technology for damaged hair (New and Improved formula for Even Silkier Hair). Enriched with grapefruit, apple and aloe extracts plus vegetable protein to soothe dry or damaged hair, control frizz, add shine.
Excerpt from product branding: “Smooth and Silk Deep Moisture Shampoo has a pearlized formula that glistens in your hand and transforms your hair into a silky palette. New and improved formulation with Apple and Aloe extracts provide antioxidant protection and enhanced moisturizers for even silkier hair.” To give a basic overview, the purpose of this shampoo is to cleanse and moisturize; In my experience, the shampoo did exactly that. Giovanni’s Smooth as Silk shampoo is a great sulfate free shampoo that is not in the least bit drying or stripping. It smells nice and really made my hair feel smooth as silk. I do like this shampoo and I will definitely purchase it again.

It’s easy to squirt the product out if washing your hair in the shower. The packaging is modern and stylish.
SCENT: Extremely mild citrus scent from the grapefruit it is enriched with and a slight warmth that comes from the infused apples and aloe. Not overpowering at all – perfect to use even if you suffer from headaches as a result of certain fragrances.
CONSISTENCY: Smooth, creamy (texture and color), and even a little “luxurious.” This shampoo rubs into the palms well and is not watery, so it most likely will not spill out of your hands getting your shower slippery. The lather that comes with using even a nickel sized amount of this shampoo is amazing – yet still, it doesn’t strip the hair. How did they do this? Lol. In regards to detangling, I was able to finger detangle my hair with this shampoo lathered into my hair. After detangling, I did not experience any more tangling or matting when rinsing the shampoo out.

I have to give this hair product 5 out of 5 stars because it does everything that it claims it will do (soothe dry hair, control frizz, add shine), it’s inexpensive ($7.99) and well worth the price, it smells great, and worked well with my hair. I had a good experience with this shampoo, from beginning to end, from the first time I opened it to the last drop I used. I recommend this product to anyone in the market for a creamy sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo.
